Flights to and from Italy tend to be exhausting. Especially if you are traveling with kids I probably spent a good part of my night prior to my big flight, researching for ways to keep my little ones entertained during our long flight to and from Italy.
The research paid off I had them under control for the most part except for when I wanted to rest which unfortunately happened to be a good portion of the flight heading towards Italy. The flight back wasn’t so bad I brought a ton of activities for them to do and play with as well as music to listen to and videos for them to watch.
The best thing that worked with my older girl was rewarding her with a present which I purchased ahead of time and kept hidden in my bag wrapped for her to open during the flight. The new toy seemed to hold her interest the longest. My little one was easy all I had to do for her was keep Nimo playing on repeat on my Epson Photo viewer which works great for playing downloaded movies and once Finding Nimo got old ET kept her entertained for hours.
During the last and final leg of our flight we where struck with a five hour layover in Atlanta so we decided to make the best of it and grab a nice sit down dinner at TGI Fridays. We burned almost three hours at the restaurant which was good. During our dinner I looked over and saw Omar Hassan the Pro Skateboarder. I used to shoot a ton of vert in my days. Omar kills it in the bowls and half pipe. After my meal I caught up with him at the airport lounge and was able to talk to him for a couple minutes he was flying to Costa Rica for a demo.
