This weekend was my girl’s birthday so we decided to go all out. After sitting around trying to come up with ideas for a killer party, it hit us…lets host a Beer Pong Tournament! We have been to a couple before and have always had a good time. To some this is a serious sport - not just a drinking game. One group of friends that we ride with in Glamis are so into the sport that when they hold a tournament they have official t-shirts, cups and other paraphernalia made. We, on the other hand, didn’t want to go crazy over it - we just wanted to put together some simple rules and have a good time.

The day of the party things where looking good other than the weather report. Flash flood and thunderstorm warnings were all over the news but we didn’t think much of it. Come on - we live in Sunny Southern California - it never rains here, especially in mid July.

Or so we thought!

Just as we finished organizing teams the forecasted rain started to fall. Our crazy party goers didn’t care! The game must go on so they switched it up to Beirut style rules where you are throwing the ball versus hitting it with a paddle. The rain only lasted for less than an hour but the party lasted until just before sun up!
